Your 1 day full day game drive to explore the Akagera National Park which is located in Eastern Rwanda on the border with Tanzania will give you a great experience to explore this only savanna national park where safari game drive can only be carried in Rwanda. Akagera national park is known for harboring number of wildlife and bird species. Akagera national park is home to several mammal species including Elephants, Giraffes, Hippos, Kobs, Zebras, Bushbucks, Waterbucks and number of bird species.
Your day safari in detail. Travel time +2.5hrs
Today early morning you will be picked by your safari driver guide at about 5:00 am from your accomodation in Kigali and head for a day trip to Akagera national park, which is about 2.5 hours away from Kigali. Akagera national park is majorly a Savannah Park with Elephants, Zebras, Giraffes, Buffaloes, Waterbucks, Topi’s and recently introduced Lions. On arrival at the park, you will proceed with registration at the park reception later proceed with game drive in search of these wildlife and numerous bird species. You will have one hour for lunch inside the Park before resuming with the game drive and exit the park at around 4:00 at the northern gate and drive back to Kigali to arrive in the late evening around 8:00 PM.
You will be dropped back to your accommodation.
