Canopy Walk: A Bird’s-Eye View of Nyungwe

Suspended 70 meters above the forest, the Canopy Walk is East Africa’s first and only suspended bridge of its kind. Stretching 160 meters, it offers a unique perspective of Nyungwe’s rich biodiversity, including over 300 bird species, 13 primate species, and countless butterflies. The walk is part of the Igishigishigi trail, accessible from the Uwinka Visitor Center. The experience lasts approximately 2 hours and is suitable for individuals aged 6 and above.

Zipline adventure: a soar above the forest canopy 

The Nyungwe Zipline Adventure is one of the longest in East Africa, featuring three ziplines measuring 320m, 550m, and 1020m in length, respectively. These ziplines soar 50 to 80 meters above the ground, offering an exhilarating experience as you glide over the lush rainforest. The adventure begins at the Uwinka Visitor Center and concludes at the Canopy Walk, allowing visitors to seamlessly transition from one thrilling experience to the next.
