Boat Cruise to Murchison Falls
A 2–3-hour boat cruise from Paraa to the base of Murchison Falls is a highlight. Departing at 9:00 AM or 2:00 PM, the trip navigates the Nile’s hippo and crocodile-filled waters, culminating at the falls where the river thunders through an 8-meter gorge, dropping 45 meters into the “Devil’s Cauldron.” Add a 45-minute hike to the top for misty views and rainbows.
Game Drives
Morning or evening game drives in the Buligi Peninsula and Nile Delta areas showcase 144 mammal species. Spot elephants, giraffes (over 1,250), lions, and buffalo against palm-dotted plains. The northern bank’s open savanna, paired with Uganda Wildlife Authority guides, ensures prime sightings of four “Big Five” members rhinos excluded, found at nearby Ziwa Sanctuary.
Chimpanzee Tracking
