Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Arrival – Kigali International Airport.
Upon your arrival at the Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by a Unique Rwanda Vacation Experts tour guide, who will brief you on the 7 Days Exploring the Best of Rwanda Wildlife Tour and take you on a tour of Kigali City, depending on your arrival time. Explore many places in this beautiful city including a visit to the Genocide Memorial Centre at Gisozi. You will then be taken to the hotel in Kigali for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park.
After your morning breakfast at the hotel in Kigali, you will be transferred to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Nyungwe is home to different species of primates as well as over 280 bird species, majority of which are forest specialists and 26 are regional endemics. Arrive at the lodge in Nyungwe in time for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking Experience in Nyungwe Forest.
Have breakfast and go for chimp trekking, during trekking you might spot other primates like the colobus monkeys plus viewing other inhabitants of the forest like birds and butterflies, return to the lodge for late lunch, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Kivu with Boat Ride

Day 5: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking Experience
Today is the highlight of your safari. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on an unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure. The trek can take 2 to 6 hours depending on the gorilla family’s location, but the reward of standing just meters away from these gentle giants is truly life changing. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and spend the evening relaxing or enjoying the lodge amenities.

Day 7: Transfer Back to Kigali – Departure
