Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival – Transfer to Bukavu
Upon arrival you will be received by a Unique Rwanda Vacation Experts company representative who will brief you on the 4 Days Congo Primate Tracking Safari. Depending on your time of arrival, you may go on a Kigali City Tour, after which you will cross the border into the DRC and arrive at the lodge in time for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Visit Lwiro Chimpanzee Sanctuary
After your early morning breakfast, you will head out to visit the Lwiro Chimpanzee Sanctuary to spot orphaned chimpanzees that reside here. You can take part in feeding the chimpanzees among other activities at the sanctuary. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Kahuzi Biega National Park
You will wake up early in the morning, have breakfast and head out to the park headquarters for briefing from ranger guides. You will the start the activity of tracking lowland gorillas and once you find them, you will be allowed one hour with them for observation and photography. The gorilla trekking duration depends on the movement of the gorillas in the park. Later return to the lodge for lunch and spend the evening relaxing.

Day 4: Transfer from Bukavu to Kigali
Following breakfast, you will be transferred back to Kigali City. Make a stop over in Butare for lunch, and proceed to the Kigali International Airport for your outbound flight back home.
